All About Fairy Photo Shoots
I have been photographing and creating fairy folk for some time now. It all started as a little bit of fun, but the demand has been overwhelming.
A Fairy Photo Shoot is a truly magical experience for your little one. My shooting style is very relaxed, and I’ve never met a child (or adult) who hasn’t been enchanted by the experience.
“I recently had my children transported into Fairyland, as my Mum called them her little fairies. We lost her just before the commission. Michael completely understood the reason for the photos and was intent on making this a very special photoshoot that captured everything my Mum treasured about her magical grandchildren. What to expect
Depending on the time of year, I usually meet my fairy clients near woodland, a safe and picturesque location. There are a few places I love to go.
We arrange to meet at a location and go for a little walk in the woods. Shooting is a simple process; I engage children in a little chat all about the things they love, pets, animals and what they like on television (I’m a bit of an expert on Peppa Pig and a few others. Whoever wrote In the Night Garden was clearly keen on Vodka!)
PROPS – I always bring a few props on a shoot for a few reasons. Props hold children’s attention; nothing is better than holding a magic crystal or counting the other fairies in the Book of Magic!
Wands, frogs, they all come out of the bag.
Clothing
Clothing is the first question that Mum and Dad ask me, and it is simple to answer. A fairy dress is easy enough to find on Amazon or eBay but is far from essential. Any dress has a fairy feel and will do the job and fail.
I’ve photographed children in denim dungarees and just about anything they are happy to wear will do. The key is that your child feels comfortable and happy in their outfit.Â
How long does the shoot take?
A fairy shoot takes about 45 minutes, depending on age. Small children don’t usually have the attention span to be interested in shooting for a long period of time.
I work around children, and that means being flexible and accepting of them, not the other way around. It’s not purely about the shoot; it’s about your child having a lovely time, which will show in the images.
What happens after the shoot?
Following a shoot, I will produce a bespoke hand-edited image, which is individual to your child.
I will send a watermarked image for your approval before sending a full, high-resolution image, which you may print, share on social media, and send to family and friends.
I offer additional images for £50 each or two for £90. Please note that these prices are for digital images only. Should additional images be requested, I will show you the original file prior to purchase, so you have an idea of the final piece of art.

The Image!
The image I provide will be on a USB stick at full resolution. It will print as large as you need within reason. (If you wish to put it on the side of a New York skyscraper, we may have to do some additional work). Â
There is no restriction on the usage of your image, so you can print from it, share it on social media, put it onto canvases, etc.
